Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you to those who are blogging on this site, it is great to catch up with all of you, so keep blogging and hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, as we are all thankful for so many things. Not much happening at our house, but Dale is headed up north to go work in SLC starting next week. He will be staying in a trailer and coming home on the weekends, so it will be a lot of driving, but we are thankful he has a job in this economy.

We did go and see a movie this past weekend with some friends, it was called "Fireproof" if it is playing in your area go see it, if it isn't, I think it will be out on DVD in a month or so, I totally recommend seeing it, really it has very good lessons in it and is a great movie.

So thanks again to all of you Beal family, and keep us up on all the happenings of your lives, even if it's big or small, we like to hear about it. And those who haven't blogged yet, we hope to see something soon.

Love ya all

Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Hi everyone! I thought I would update you all on grandma (Nelda) and Leon. Leon is back in the Basin staying under the close eye of his doctor. He gets to go home to grandma's for a couple hours on Thanksgiving! I think everyone is excited to have him home for a bit. On December 10 Leon will get his cast off. Then he will start a 6 week therapy session where he will learn to walk again. It will be a painful process so please pray for him!

This blog is wonderful! So everyone keep posting!!

Hi everybody, Sun. Nov 9th from Nancy & LeGrand

Hi everybody, Sun. Nov 9th
I finally got Internet for my computer...We have been here in Redvale Co. for over 2 months. we really like it here...it's so much like home. We are out in the country (ten miles to the church and store) We have mountains all around us. It's beautiful on the east end near Telluride, but much like fruitland on the west end with lots of ceder trees and rocks. Our mission is 75 miles long and we do a lot of traveling. We drive to Montrose every week to District meetings (it takes 1 1/2 hours each way. but it is a very beautiful drive along the San Juan Mountains and San Miguel river.
We are continuely running into people that we know or they know some one we know. I even found a second cousin, Tam DeMile. He is the second counsler in the Branch Presidency. He G Grand father is Freeborn DeMille and that is ours also. He is a very likable guy and rather good looking ...of course!!
We have a Cole Checketts that is in the Branch that worked with Diane and Darrens Dustin in the Meat plant when he was going to school in Logan...He sure thought Dustin was a good kid. It was good to run onto Dustin in the Mission home. Sounds like he is having some experiences he could do without in his mission.
Our Mission is to activate the inactive, and believe me there are a lot of them here. we have 8 going to church so far, some hadn't been there in years. we are teaching a family of five now, and that is excieting. I like it when we are busy, but some times we aren't and that hard for me.
I talked to Nelda tonight and she said Leon is coming along. He has casts from his hips to his ankles and can only sit up with his legs out straight. he is hoping he will be able to walk in three more weeks, but may take longer. they are really hopeing that the transplant knee caps work...if they don't she didn't know what will happen. She comes home on week ends, He is in a rehabilation place in SLC. His children are there and they take care of him on week ends. It's pretty rough for both of them.
Our son Dean, and his family are in Orlalndo today in Disney World and will leave tomarrow on a Cruise to the Bahams for a week. We just talked to him and it sounds like they are having a lot of fun...there are 14 of them (some are friends).
I hope this makes it on the Blob...I had a hard time finding how to put it on....
Love to all....Elder and Sister Gilbert

From Marsha:

We're anxiously waiting for Daniel and Katie to come home, they'll be here in two weeks, unfortunately they will only be here for two weeks but we should get to see them in DC when the baby comes......it's a girl, by the way!!!

Becca is doing well on her mission. She is in the field in a town called Mattoon. She and her trainer opened a new area which should be challenging and fun.

The weather is really nice in Tucson, any of you Northerners wanna come South? you're always welcome at the Phlodge.

Love you all,
Marsha
From Nelda via a letter to Marsha:
Leon had his forth surgery Tuesday the 30th, out in the IHC Hospital in Salt Lake. Each knee has been operated on three times. This time they put a doner knee caps in. He is realy having a rough time right now. I was staying with hnime, day and night because the doctor said lhe would be a lot better if he could see someone he knew when he comes out of it. It's been hard because he can't sleep. I came hme Friday night after being up for three nights. His children come after work so I can go shower and clean up. They are with hims this weekend and probably every weekend so I can come home. We are trying to get him in Health south, which is half way between a hospital and a care center for 30 days. But right now he is to bad to go there. He will be interviewed again Monday land I hope he will be good enough that they will take him. The doctor says lhe will be six months getting back on his feet. He may never walk again. We are hoping at least he can walk with a cane or a walker. Lots of prayers and faith will heal him

Everything else is fine. I'd just like to stay home a while. I went to the Jazz game las Wednesday with Tina. They beat Denver by one point. The opening was so great. They had all kinds of fire works and a flag that covered the gym floor help by the service men and women. Something to see.

Love,
Nelda

Hey all you Beals

Ok........So it's time to get blogging. You can all start writing on this blog whenever you want and the sooner the better. We want updates on your families, and we want to see some pix. Some old pix, new pix, pix of you the dog, the cat the goat, whatever. Even pix of previous reunions would be awesome. So everybody dig them out and get them on this blog. If your pix are not digital you can take some to any Walmart or other stores, and they can scan them in and put them on a CD then you can attach them to this blog. Yeah!! How easy is that. They aren't expensive to do that to. So get crackn. So I'm starting out with some pix we found so enjoy these for a spell.

See you on the blog.

HI Marsha,Well.... we didn't get any newsletters and didn't know anything about them until Janis came here last week and she had thought we were getting them. So sorry we didn't write anything. Here is an update for now. I will send some pix later. So in reading about Nelda's nose surgery, just wondering if she had Nasal reconstruction. Dale had that Deviated Septum surgery last April and it wasn't pleasant. But sorry to hear about Leon's knee problems, wholly COW! That sounds horrible!! Anyway, we did get to have Landon come home from his Mission in Argentina. He came home on Sept 9th after a 28 hour flight and lay over airplane adventure. At least nothing went wrong. He came down to St. George and visited for 2 weeks, it was AWESOME. Loved having him here, it's always nice when the kids come home for a spell. Anyway, not sure what he is doing but I think going to school up north to finish his quarter credit or something, and he is now looking for a car to buy. Skyler left 6 months ago to Chile on his Mish so you can write to him if you would like to. We write every Sunday night and he reads the letters on Monday. He struggled at first, he got mugged the first week, and got sick a few times, but is doing better now. The rest of the family is just doing the normal. Dale is working for Red Canyon and I (Cara) am working at Bluff Street Auto Brokers in St. George. Jordan is working at Stephen Wade Power Sports. We are awaiting for the arrival of our hot tub, so we can sit in it all winter. So if anyone comes to visit bring your suit. Cameron is in 9th grade and goes to Dixie Middle School. Well that's about it for now. I will email some pix. If you have a facebook, you can link up to ours and Landon and Skyler's, and Jordans. Skyler's email on his mission is skyler.street@myldsmail.net, and Landon's is ridesyamah2@gmail.com So send emails or whatever. Hope to hear from you.

Max and Joyce Fisher Family:

Max and Joyce really enjoyed having Marsha and Becca visit for a few days before Becca went into the MTC. Max's Aunt Mabel passed away the following week and he and Joyce went to Modesto, California to the funeral. On the way home they went over Sonora Pass and Joyce recommends it to anyone passing that way; it is beautiful. Let's just give a little information on each of the kids starting with the oldest. Diane is still working at the school, but she has found a new pass time and you can usually find her walking 4 miles a day or riding her bike. Darren is still at EA Miller, but he and Dan still found time to go to Malad for the annual hunting trip. This year Austin(Dan's boy) was the lucky companion. The first night and day of the hunt was fine but on Friday Oct. 10 a terrible storm hit and literally tried to blow them off of the mountain. At 2:00 am they had to get up, get dressed, and try to keep the tent from blowing away with them in it. It was a long night. Daci, Cory, and Gavyn are still in Layton and she is expecting a new baby. Ashley, Shawn, and Preston are living in Roosevelt and Shawn is working in the oilfield. Dustin is now out of the MTC and serving in Albuquerque, New Mexico.Address: Elder Dustin Max OlsenNew Mexico, Albuquerque4400 Presidents Dr. Neste EAlbuquerque, New Mexico 87109Tori is a Senior and very busy. She still loves volleyball and is having a great season. Eddie and Cassandra are happily settled in Preston, Idaho in their new home. They host a lot of family get-togethers and everyone is enjoying living alot closer to each other. Eddie is working for Wheeler Machinery and Cassandra is working at USU. Reggie, Camille and Ashten are living in Magna and have purchased their first home. Dexter is at Dixie College in St. George, Utah and doing great. He is going to be enjoying that incredible weather this winter while the rest of the family is freezing. Colton is a Junior this year and playing on the football team at Preston. Dan is still a technician at Suburban and between that and the hotel is always dashing here and there. Tam is still keeping an eye on the hotel but really enjoys working with the family and the grandma's. Joyce works at the hotel with Tam, but we really know she comes to play with baby Lindsay. Rachel is at BYU-I again this year as a Music Ed. Major. She comes home to see the family and they really miss her. The girls went up to Mother's weekend at BYU-I this last weekend and they had a blast. Sarah is a Sophomore and sooo busy. She is running on the cross-country team and acting in the high school musical 'Oklahoma'. She is Gurty. Austin is a Freshmen and also running cross-country and acting in 'Oklahoma'. He is Jud and getting taller as we speak. Dan's entire family agrees that the highlight of the family is Baby Lindsay. She loves clapping and playing peek-a-boo. She is almost always happy. It is hard to think what they did before she arrived.
